Why Israel Must Be Stronger than Ever

Read the Full Article on YNetNews:

This will be a short post, I hope. Over the last few days, I read an article from the New York Times Op-Ed section (Read It Here). The basic gist of the article is that the PA is going to try and establish a state within Israel come September 2011. What is even more scary is that they may even have the votes. Now, I am not saying that it will happen nor am I say it won't. What I am saying however is this: Why?

The article from YNetNews shows why Israel must be strong. Not just for the Jews living there, but the Arabs who would love nothing more than to live in peace and harmony and be able to prosper. (Editorial Note: I am trying to keep my personal opinions on the matter of Arab beliefs in Israel divorced from the article.)

I'm sorry, but absolutely no one is knocking down the Palestinian Authority's doors to come and build business there. In fact, other Muslim countries want nothing to do with the Palestinians in Israel, let alone their businesses. So why is it necessary to develop a "Two State Solution"?

With the exclusion of a few more militant people here and there, the over all environment in Israel is to let people do what they want to do. As long as they aren't hurting anyone. This mentality is being lost in the Arab population living in Israel as Israeli citizens. Together with horrifying groups like B'Tselem and Shalom Achshav/Peace Now, the Arabs are stating that the only way for peace is this "Two State Solution." At the same time, Peace Now is saying that legally purchased land by Jews is standing in the way of the peace process and that legally bought land shouldn't be developed.

Anarchy seems to be rearing its ugly heads everywhere. Especially when people stop looking at the collective good of the country and start looking out for the so-called underdogs. We see it wherever Anarchist driven propaganda reigns supreme. We can see it within the Unions in America. Cities like Detroit have been driven to ruin because the major employers just can't keep up with Union wages anymore.

This is why Israel must be strong. Its citizens, all of them, count of the government to keep them in business.
